BOOK REVIEW

From the first moments of the book we are

The world building was very strong, from the very first it was a very well thought out complex world, with countries and regions at war with each other. It took me a second to get a sense of who were the warring factions and who were allies. But once I did it turned into an extremely rewarding and lush read, I loved the characters and getting the additional POVs of Rosealyn's parents really helped give an idea of the bigger forces at play. I found Rosealyn's mother's parts extra compelling. As Rosealyn has been kept in the dark over much of what is happening and the Lenoir gift itself, by an overprotective father, we got to learn about things alongside her. This kept me curious and wanting to know how everything tied in together. I was particularly intrigued by the agreement between Charles and Rosealyn's Father; King Phillipe. I was so intrigued to find out what that was all about! The plot was complex and even convoluted at some points but I found myself enjoying it. With a cast of different creatures and beings such as dragons and faes, it would be difficult not to be complex. The added story of the long lost prince was really interesting and I am excited to see how this storyline further complicates things for our main characters. For those of you who love slow burn romances you may want to keep an eye out for the upcoming books, if my hunch is correct I think we are headed for a slowest of slow burns. Which in my book always have to best payoffs! This is a very interesting start to the trilogy, with complex storytelling, political intrigue, warring neighbouring countries, secrets from the past and the present not mention it has dragons! I think fantasy readers would definitely enjoy this one!

~~~~~~~~ CHARACTER Q&A 1. Hi Rosealyn & Charles! Can you introduce yourselves? Rosealyn - Welcome to my home! I'm Princess Rosealyn, sole heir to the throne of Orda'an who is, unfortunately, sheltered. At twenty-three, you'd think Father would let me outside Vandyl's castle more often. Or travel with him. But alas, here we are. My favorite things to do include eavesdropping on Father, weapons training, reading, and avoiding wearing the dresses Mother tries to insist I wear. Charles - I'm a captain in the Orda'anian army, one of several tasked with ensuring Princess Rosealyn remains safe as His Majesty requested. I arrived when I was 15, and have been here for ten years now. In addition to protecting Princess Rosealyn, I must adhere to the agreement I made with her father, King Phillippe. 2. Can you tell us about the Lenoir gift? It's odd. My family's gift both fascinates and frightens me. The LeNoir gift allows the wielder to see snippets of the future, and creates feelings about future events. It is also only ever held by one, meaning I will receive the Gift when Father dies.
3. Tell us about some of the creatures in your world? Rosealyn's Answer: I've read so much about dragons, especially how they have a direct role in my family's past. I wonder if they're truly that big, how many there are, and if they're still alive, where are they hiding.
4. Lastly, what can we expect from you all during The LeNoir Legacy? Rosealyn: I learn. A lot. And I'm sure I have more to learn. Charles: The past cannot be changed, but how you let your past affect your future is your choice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ INTL Tour-wide Instagram Giveaway!
